for those of a certain age

I remember the cheese of my childhood,

And the bread that we cut with a knife,

When the children helped with the housework,

And the men went to work, not the wife.

The cheese never needed a fridge

And the bread was so crusty and hot,

The children were seldom unhappy

And the wife was content with her lot.

I remember the milk from the bottle,

With the yummy cream on the top,

Our dinner came hot from the oven,

And not from the fridge; in the shop.

The kids were a lot more contented,

They didn’t need money for kicks,

Just a game with their mates in the road,

And sometimes the Saturday flicks.

I remember the shop on the corner,

Where a pen’orth of sweets was sold

Do you think I’m a bit too nostalgic?

Or is it….I’m just getting old?

I remember the ‘loo’ was the lavy

And the bogey man came in the night,

It wasn’t the least bit funny

Going “out back” with no light.

The interesting items we perused,

From the newspapers cut into squares,

And hung on a peg in the loo,

It took little to keep us amused.

The clothes were boiled in the copper,

With plenty of rich foamy suds

But the ironing seemed never ending

As Mum pressed everyone’s ‘duds’.

I remember the slap on my backside,

And the taste of soap if I swore

Anorexia and diets weren’t heard of

And we hadn’t much choice what we wore.

Do you think that bruised our ego?

Or our initiative was destroyed?

We ate what was put on the table

And I think life was better enjoyed.

But a huge fact not hereto mentioned

In this mushy tale of nostalgic rejoice

Is the reason we all “enjoyed” our lot

Was that we had NO CHOICE………….

So tragic we have allowed the powers that shouldn’t be to take over our lives with the distraction of technology. Archontic technology that is toxic on every single level. We are so gullible and narcissistic. Tragic.

DFT strikes again! At least with me. Like bringing children into the present day mess of a world, I am strongly opinionated about this smart phone thing. Most people are mesmerized – even controlled by these damn little boxes!

I have a college bus stop down the street. Just recently, there were six students waiting for the bus. No two were communicating with each other – all six were transfixed to their idiot boxes!

Down the gym. Three identical machines used for several different exercises. Machine 1: man sitting on the bench at the machine, with earplugs, doing nothing other than toying with his idiot box. Machine 2: man sitting on the bench wearing earplugs, doing nothing other than toying with his idiot box. Machine 3: man sitting on the bench, with earplugs doing nothing other than playing with his idiot box.

I recently looked around one night at the gym. A far area of the gym. There were ten of us in that area. I was the only one NOT equipped with an idiot box. I was the only one working out.

Very selfish. Very rude. Very thoughtless. If these damn idiot boxes were around in the 1970’s we never would have had an Arnold Schwarzenegger (good or bad).

These aren’t tools, and the users aren’t techies or something like that. These idiot users are allowing themselves to be controlled by these damn things! They are dangerous. I see people wearing these things riding bikes and driving cars. And at the gym, at the very least you are dividing your attention between the exercise (they think they are doing) and whatever needless junk is coming out of their idiot boxes. They can’t possibly be taking their fitness seriously wearing earplugs wired into their idiot boxes!

And using these things certainly stunts any social development. Young people are losing what little ability they had or might have interacting with others glued to their idiot boxes. They are actually a damned curse!

It will be much easier for the NWO low-lifes to gain more and more control over every subsequent generation using these damned little idiot boxes, which I’m sure is what they want!
