10 positive areas the TM may be able to learn from the animal rights movement

 k

The title and consequent image of this post is more of a public perceived image. In reality 99% of the AR activities was not like this at all. In reality it was attending boring monotonous meetings, and drab village hall jumble sales for fund raising events.

The classic black balaclava was more of an negative image foisted onto the public by the main stream media to give a terrorist type resonance to the non-thinking public. As most of us now know, the media work heavily on perception through deception. It doesn’t matter about facts, it’s all about imagery. Unfortunately it works.

However the good news it is not permanent. Please take it from me, from decades of the AR experience this demonization eventually wears thin. Like the anti-semitic slander, it doesn’t stick after a while. With tenacity and Truth on our side, we in the AR movement were able to plough through this smog of deception and tap into the main stream. So please allow this example to give the Truth movement hope. We just need hardened tenacity.

ARM = Animal Rights Movement

TM = Truth movement.

1/. Universal

The strong point of the ARM was is gathered an eclectic range of people of all ages (retired pensions to students), all class, all creeds, and all nationalities, etc. From all walks of life. Just human animals helping out another form of animal – other sentient beings. There was no divisions (separatism) in this respect. Real camaraderie. I wish I could say the same for the TM.

2/. Comprehensive approach

After forty years of hard slog, the movement finally got its act together as far as presenting the unknowing public with a comprehensive approach to AR. Both in terms of gaining new recruits and educational/supportive purposes.

Here are some of the areas covered and even became specialized fields:

  • nutritional/health benefits – plant-based diets in sports
  • humanistic/ethical
  • financial benefits
  • appealing: fun, variety, celebrities, restaurants, etc
  • cultural vegetarian traditions
  • spiritual aspects
  • social medicinal benefits (serious alternatives to vivisection)

3/. Action/proactive

This was the AR strongest weapon of all. They were never short of recruits who were not willing to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. They were certainly not bystanders. That is why having been involved in this proactive movement for so long, it is so deflating to see so much passivism in the TM. One almost had to curb people’s enthusiasm, both young and old. Early morning raids, demos, traveling across the country. Taking serious risks, putting their careers on the line, facing violence, willing to be imprisoned for many years. They just could not stand by and see such levels of unnecessary cruelty. This is the passion and courage the TM so desperately needs.

k

4/. Non-violent

Yes, that’s right, non-violent. 40+ years zero violence to human beings. There have been planted incidents and many accusations, but none backed up with substantial evidence. Yes there was violence against property. But that was always a means to an ends in order to stop suffering.

5/. Self funding

The AR really had their act their act together with regards to getting money in the hat. Much of it was unfortunately infiltrated, but scams were found out and new protective methods of funding were introduced. We just kept adapting. The intent and energy never faded. I would be at find-raising events and people would literally come straight from work having just got paid and pretty much hand over their entire wage packet. Total devotees to their cause to saving the animals. Dare I say it, could you just imagine what we could achieve in the TM had we sufficient funding…….newspapers, TV shows, PR, etc.

6/. Organised

Be it organised chaos at times, but eventually we got our act together. We were hurting corporations and suppliers and suppliers of suppliers. These filthy unethical suppliers were realizing it was just too much hassle for them to feed the beast, so hundreds pulled out. Money talks. We collectively got our act together, even though being constantly infiltrated.

7/.  Revamped PR

The ARM really worked on their public image and made their message approachable to Joe Public. This is what we definitely need! Many people ‘finally’ got it that vivisection for example was not only of no benefit to society, it was degrading to humanity. We worked hard on education, public image, making the topic approachable and more easily understandable. We gained music celebrities, sports people, academics, actors. I know this may seem impossible in the Jew-wise community/movement; but why not have these targets to aim for?

8/. Social meme

This area fits into many of the points here. It is about changing a social consciousness. Through as many ways as possible: PR, education, one-to-one personal impressions, the whole drive and energy around caring for other sentient beings. This is a hard one to really nail, but it’s about changing a social meme in terms of de-conditioning, de-programming people if you will. No matter how hard a task this is. Again, it’s about putting an intent out there into the universal consciousness. With a strong defiant attitude of “We will change things”. Attitude. Defiance.

9/. Definitive MO

Now this one is super huge, a super important topic and probably the ARM’s strongest trait. They all knew pretty much what they wanted. To free all animals from exploitation and suffering. It was that easy. I don’t see too much of this focused approach in the TM. We seem to moan about what we don’t like, but not directed enough at what EXACTLY is it we want. What world do we want to live in? What steps should we take in order to get there and what risks and compromises do we need to take in order to get there?

This is the difference between the ZEOS Jewish mindset and ours. They have definitive MO, we don’t.

k

k

10/. Tenacity

This was/is another strong trait of the ARM. They knew Truth was on their side and stood up strong to all the social abuse. Defiant to the JMSM, defiant to mocking friends, family, colleagues, neighbours, etc. They just never gave up. I knew people straight out of long-term jail sentences who were straight out there as activists. Hardened compassionate souls never wiling to give up. I have to take my hat off to these amazing characters.
