How to deal with ‘legal’ fraudsters

debt collector bailiff

One of our contributors put this Notice together in response to an unlawful “Notice of Removal” from a debt collection company whose third party agent (debt collector) was masquerading as a certificated bailiff.

As this is now widespread we have published a template which you can use. If the name on the usually computer generated template (Notice of Removal) is not on the bailiffs register (just look online) then demanding money with threats and menaces is unlawful. Go to Companies House, look up the company and send your notice to the registered office and address your notice to the managing director which can be found on companies house along with all details of the company. Just click the link where it says “order information on this company”, you dont have to pay just click the link and all details appear.  This is good practice as the directors of these companies need to know they are accountable.
