Never Let Me Go”

 k

A Fox Searchlight Production based on the novel by Kazudo Ishiguro.

k

This is the film’s description

Kathy, Ruth and Tommy are best friends who grow up together at an English boarding school with a chilling secret. When they learn the shocking Truth – that they are genetically engineered clones raised to be organ donors – they embrace their fleeting chance to live and love. Based on the acclaimed novel by Kazuo Ishiguro (The Remains of the Day), ‘Never Let Me Go’ is an intriguing exploration of hope and humanity.

k

When in reality it was a another clever piece of predictive programming; promoting cloning, eugenics and organ harvesting, in order for the betterment of humanity. People, simply seen as willing organic biological organ donors. They even sneaked in microchip scanners in their hands. Even in some outback cottage, they had to scan their wrists as they entered the cottage. What was scary was how the characters all accepted this as their fate, their Raison d’être.

k

I don’t want to give too much away to spoil the film for anyone wishing to watch it. So I’ll keep this post short.

k

Please see the Special Features at the end of the film. Intriguing featurette where the actors, directors, producers and Ishiguro the author, explain and weave around the ‘ethics’ of the film.

k

You wana here them justify cloning and eugenics as the next progressive development of humanity, all under the guise of medical ethics. The new normals being pumped out through the power of good old predictive programming. What I found particularly distasteful was the author trying to justify why ‘he’ created the characters as not being rebellious, and how they accepted their position and willingly submitted their organs.

k

To which I was screaming at the screen “Liars, liars – f’r’in liars” and “BS you didn’t write this story – it was all scripted for you as part of this kosher eugenics plan”.

k

Unfortunately this film it is so artfully presented. Beautiful music, idyllic yet haunting scenery. And appropriately casted aesthetically-pleasing actors. All the ingredients to capture and pollute the subconscious mind.

  1. OMG – frightening, they don’t even bother to disguise what they are doing to everyone of us. Think of a way to use and abuse us (in fact we’ll even do the research for them) then write a book (we’ll buy that) and make a film about it (we’ll go and see that – we love to be scared! – but it’s only a film isn’t it), bleed us dry and kill us all off – all in the name of so-called science – who could deny them that. NOT ME OR YOU!

    • Yes, so true.

I have heard today that they will be ENFORCING mandatory fluoridation in England/Britain.

      Thank you for your contribution

  2. Yeah – that’ll do it – dumb everyone down to shut them up. Funnily enough, I think there enough people who are fluoride-wise and intelligent enough to know there is such a problem – that includes vets and farmers – that they will start to really make a protest. They won’t know who they are protesting to or about but hopefully they will be able to get a message out of what their government is doing to them. I have a fluoride filter as I’ve been waiting for this to happen, in some places like Birmingham and Southampton it’s been done for a few years. What else will they put in the water?!

Incidentally, I just looked at a trailer for a film called ‘Movie 43’. Oh boy – are they really dredging the bottom of the toilet bowl – and that’s just in the trailer.
